Jerry, George & Kramer =

Mickey, Donald & Goofy.

Just saying. There’s a formula at work.

    Larry, Moe & Curley.

The stooges don’t quite match the M-G-D archetype as well as the Seinfeld cast. If you peg Moe as the lead — the Mickey — then Larry has to be Donald, since Curly is inarguably Goofy. Larry lacks the short fuse of a classic Donald.

Likewise, if Moe is Donald, which is possible, Larry can’t be Mickey, since he is hardly the leader and rarely lovable. The Marx Brothers don’t fit the pattern, either.

Disney tapped into a universal truth with Mickey, Donald and Goofy.
