First thought: Wahooo! I’ve been a huge fan of this idea. I’m glad it is happening.
Second thought: I’ve always admired Dennis Wint, the CEO at the Franklin Institute. He (or his FI peeps) did a great job of positioning him and the institution on this. Smart move folks.
Third thought: Why is this happening before the primary if this is a debate for candidates from both parties? With Obama and Clinton fighting each other, seems like it takes some pressure off of McCain. Also, it seems like it would have more of a policy impact if you get the candidates to stick to a position after the party conventions, right?
Gotta go to dinner, the toddler insists.
