OK, I added a button for T. Boone Pickens’s (wait, let me get this out of the way: T. Boone Pickens T. Boone Pickens T. Boone Pickens, tee hee. You can’t ask for more out of life than the existence of a Texas oil man named T. Boone Pickens, really) eponymous energy plan.
Do I think wind power is the ultimate answer?
No, not really. But it is a pretty good answer. A better answer will involve building more nuke plants, Flex Fuel cars (and plug-in Flex Fuel cars), biofuels, printable solar panels, more refineries and whatever assorted cool things that can be done to extract energy out of the environment.
But if Pickens wants to shake things up by pushing wind power, I’m all for it as long as it doesn’t result in legislation that somehow limits other alternate energy sources.
They’ve also gone all Web-two-oh-ish on the whole thing with an online community.
And a video, complete with Perot-like charts (what’s up with Texans and charts?):
UPDATE: Of course, this could be an elaborate conspiracy to get all the precious, precious water. I tend to believe he’s a smart guy looking to do both. I mean, he’s not JUST advocating wind power for the panhandle, is he?
